Overnight oats are my most favorite breakfast and snack in the last days. I prepare it always in the evening – it is super quick, and in the morning i just grab it and have breakfast. It can be made in so many ways, with different kinds of flavors, so it never gets boring. And when you buy the ingredients in a bulk like me, it can also be made zero waste.
4 Tbsp of rolled oats
1 Tbsp of chia seeds
150ml of plant based milk (the best is homemade almond milk)
Maple syrup to taste (or agave, coconut sugar…)
Flavors and toppings:
You can use whatever you like – seasonal fruits, cocoa, nuts and seeds, dried fruits, fresh mint, marmelade, pumpkin puree, cinnamon…
My favorite combinations are:
With raspberries, fresh mint and almonds
With pumpkin puree, cinnamon, walnuts and raisins
With cocoa, marmelade and lemon zest
Let´s get started!
It is super easy – just put all ingedients in a bowl or jar and mix them together. Let it chill in a fridge over night, or for a couple of hours. Then, just add your favorite flavors and toppings, and enjoy your breakfast! 🙂
